Chief Financial Officer
Pflugerville Independent School District
Jennifer Land has been a dedicated school business professional since 2001. After beginning her career in the manufacturing industry, she transitioned to education, starting at Round Rock ISD as an accountant. Her expertise and leadership led her to become Director of Internal Audit at Round Rock ISD, and later, Chief Financial Officer at both Manor ISD and Belton ISD.
Currently serving at Pflugerville ISD, Jennifer is passionate about developing financial practices that support classroom instruction by aligning resources with educational priorities. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond her district; she has held several leadership roles in professional organizations, including serving as a Board member and officer with the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO). Jennifer also actively mentors other school business professionals, contributing to the growth and success of her field.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Registered Texas School Business Administrator.
Jennifer and her husband, Rudy, a teacher and coach, are proud parents of two daughters: Gracelyn, a registered nurse, and Allena, a special education teacher. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys deepening her faith through involvement in her church community, traveling, and watching and playing sports.
Vouchers, charter schools, increased homestead tax exemption, among others, are causing serious strains for school districts across Texas on both the funding and operating side. How are SDs looking to adapt?
