Heather is an Assistant City Manager for the City of Corpus Christi. She began her career in the private sector in 1994 and has worked in the life insurance, manufacturing, food and beverage, financial services and public accounting industries. Prior to joining the City of Corpus Christi as the Director of Finance and Procurement in 2020 she spent 11 years with the City of San Marcos, first as the Assistant Director of Finance and then Director/CFO. She was promoted to Assistant City Manager in June 2023 and her primary areas of responsibility include Finance and Budget, Parks and Recreation, Planning and Development Services, Corpus Christi International Airport, and Economic Development. Heather holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas San Antonio, the designation as a Certified Government Finance Officer, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
