Carmen Arrieta-Candelaria

Carmen Arrieta-Candelaria, CPA, CGFM, RTSBA is the Chief Financial Officer for the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD) in Fort Worth, Texas. She joined FWISD in January 2022. Carmen has over 33 years of professional finance and accounting experience serving 28 of those years as an executive level manager. Specifically, she has 16 years of school district experience and 10 years in municipal government. She has been a Texas CPA since 1993 and has an accounting undergraduate and MBA, both from New Mexico State University. Carmen is passionate about giving back to her community and has been engaged in several boards as well as community activities over the years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, golfing and traveling.
